PERFORMING
                  GIFTS
 EMBRACING ART
                     IN EVERY DAY LIFE
       MULTIMEDIA PERFORMANCES

(2025-ONGOING)

What if a birthday gift could be lived, performed and shared rather than simply given?

We reimagine gifting through interactive, participatory performances, transforming autobiographical elements of the celebrant (such as habits, patterns, and milestones), into scores that are performatively activated.

What began as birthday performances with several inside jokes in private settings prompted us to reflect on how we create in collaboration. This created space for the practice of gifting to intersect with practices of performance and visual arts, choreography and dramaturgy. Performing gifts initiated an exploration of how to sustain the connection between art and everyday life, keeping the boundary between the two open, fluid, and reciprocal.
